Development of a custom illustration style for DZ Privatbank

DZ-Privatbank values partnership, solidity, and security, with a strong emphasis on visual communication consistency. To introduce flexible financing for Best Agers to employees and clients, a suitable illustration style was needed. Key concepts included familiarity, equality, and emotional connection. The focus on characters was crucial to depict the emotional bond between clients and advisors. My objective was to create a design that could be used in films about Best Agers and beyond. I drew realistic characters in relaxed poses, with background objects being more abstract.

Details and contrast were enhanced using facial and hand contours, and corporate colors were employed to maintain brand recognition. The primary color “Cubanic-Metallic” set the overall mood, while secondary and tertiary colors highlighted key elements. Modern furnishings and plants, along with simple shapes and halftone patterns, created a professional yet familiar environment. Monochromatic, abstracted backdrops through windows further grounded the scenes in reality. Icons were kept minimalistic and adaptable to various contexts.
