Project Black Box

Visualization of the user experience of a person on a website – in a special room – the so-called Black Box. By using ultra-short-distance projectors and mirrors, a unique visual experience was generated – live and surrounding the user. Various interactions on a website (clicking, scrolling, typing, etc.) were assigned different visual effects. These effects were then projected onto the interior walls of the Black Box, where the user was also present. This allowed the user to actively shape their environment or focus on operating the computer. To enhance the visual effect, two large, opposing mirrors were placed in the Black Box, making the space appear larger. The result, with about 80 test subjects, was that almost all users were enticed to shape their surroundings, thus transforming the interface of various websites into an interface for their own environment.

Experimental Typography – "PITCH"

The font “Pitch”, which I created, was originally inspired by the nautical star. However, during the course of the project, I realized that the slant at the bottom edge of each character could be the truly standout feature.

Calligraphy – development of a handwritten font

The development of handwritten characters that resemble graffiti fonts but are still distinct enough to be recognized as functional typefaces.

Experimental Typography – Mirror Box

The idea behind the project was to place typography within a space. In this case, we used mirrors in a box to create a space that is purely an optical illusion. The result is a flat frame that can be placed on any surface, creating the illusion of an endless tunnel composed of typographic characters. Text: DE: »Durch Wiederholung wird sogar das Banalste zur Kunst« | EN: »Through repetition, even the most mundane becomes art.«

Music Visualization – "Air - Kelly Watch the Stars"

If you have ever listened to the French band “Air,” you are probably familiar with the psychedelic and relaxing sounds they use. Here, you can see an attempt to visualize one of their songs by creating a photo of a water droplet on a reflective surface. Through long exposure and various light sources, the colors and the flow I experienced while listening to the song were transferred onto the image.

Stencil Graffiti – My Beginnings

When I started getting into art in my youth, it was exclusively through graffiti. After teaching myself stencil techniques, I created my first black-and-white images. Later, I made more complex but still hand-cut stencils, which allowed me to use multiple colors. Here are three examples of this type of artwork that ultimately set me on the creative path I am currently on.

Fotocollage – Tore von Kasachstan

In the north of Kazakhstan, it is common to have a colorful entrance gate in front of the house, often built by the owners themselves. I noticed that the construction of these gates was usually very similar, so I started collecting pictures of them to create this collage.
